Fendong CBD, Taiyuan Shanxi Province, China

Power China’s Real Estate Group, has joint Venture projects in major cities throughout China. Power China selected WQB Architecture PLLC and Saan Architectural Design to prepare a Master Plan for the new Fendong Central Business District located south of Taiyuan, Shanxi. Fendong will be the hub for a new subway servicing new municipal and provincial medical centers. The new CBD consists of a mixed use plan for 3 million square meters of construction. Criteria for the new plan, emphasizes providing open space, smart growth, a variety of transportation choices, diversity of housing choices and economic opportunity in a green environment.

Wesley Senior Housing The Church of the Nazarene, Fishkill, NY

 

The Fishkill Church of the Nazarene and Interactive Development Associates are developing an active living community on 8 acres of land owned by the Church. The proposed senior community creates 110 apartment units and includes the following:

  • Independent Living for well seniors who choose to enjoy the wellness programs as available.
  • Licensed Childcare in the form of an expanded daycare/preschool program which relates to the Independent Living in the form of intergenerational programming and shared recreation space.
  • A  centrally located —acre park/recreational space for use by the Town as a whole and  A foot long landscaped Par Course available to the neighborhood and the surrounding community.

St. Vincent’s Hospital St. Mary’s Clinic Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea


WQB Architecture is currently developing a Master Plan for PNG Land for development of 1,000,000 sf of housing and health facilities. The project includes an 80 bed full service hospital which will be operated by St.Vincent’s Hospital of Sydney, Australia.

The hospital will also include a separate medical office building which includes research facilities focused on Malaria and Diabetes and will be sponsored by the World Health Organization of the United Nations. The hospital will also be affiliated with St.Mary’s Health Center, a local clinic managed by PNG Land. WQB is also assisting in the redevelopment of St. Mary’s. The Master Plan will also include 250 apartments for hospital employees.

Hudson Mews Housing Development New York, New York


The plan for the 800,000 SF Hudson Mews housing development incorporates the irregular undeveloped frontage along the west side of Ninth Avenue in Manhattan, combined with the development rights of the  Dyer Avenue access to the Lincoln Tunnel, to create a group of new buildings in a park‐like setting as envisioned in the proposed Hudson Yards/Far West Side Development Plan. The current plan provides for at least three new 20‐story buildings of approximately 200,000 SF each, with more than 800 apartments per tower and first‐floor retail spaces. The buildings will include luxury rentals with a range of amenities.  The first two buildings on the Ninth Avenue side will provide 112 luxury condominiums, with retail along the avenue. The building’s foundation will be anchored by existing traffic islands with connecting deck spanning the tunnel entrance which will create a new public park extending from West 39th Street to south 36th Street, serving the residents and the surrounding community. It is anticipated that the initial phases of development will become one of the first of the new Far West Side Development Plan.

“Boutiques at the Hotung” Former Nathan Residence New English Town, Tianjin

The Nathan Residence accommodated the Chinese dignitaries who were the interface with the English diplomats and traders who operated the Port of Tianjin’s English Legation. The Nathan Residence, a typical “Hotung” or courtyard residence will be restored and is expected to become a courtyard for custom boutique fashion houses and art galleries. Access to the Boutiques will be from the Central district.

SoHa Terrace 2278-2286 Frederick Douglas Boulevard New York, New York

 

The SoHa Terrace is an upscale multi-family residential project and a pioneering effort in the redevelopment of Harlem, New York. The building strives to balance the rich, authentic characteristics intrinsic to the project’s historically relevant neighborhood with the modernizing influences of the contemporary residential development boom through an old meets-new brick and glass aesthetic, as well as a combination of both market-rate and subsidized housing. The building also contains over 8,000 square feet of retail space, 63 parking spaces, full-service amenities, and large public and common spaces including a generous landscaped roof garden. IDA arranged for 3 tranches of equity including a $20 million equity participation from Goldman Sachs Community Development Fund.

1400 Fifth Avenue New York, New York
